how do i move out if i was evacuated when singapore has an earthquake alarm??

PS: Pardon da super random title.. it just came off my random fingers..

Yep.. I touched down. Unfortunately i touched down in my room in NTU..(okok stop complaining woman. directly or indirectly)

I realised something while unpacking. I have too many stuff here in my room!!(And yes many have mentioned it before but it just struck me in my super awesome short haired head(ahaks.. still haven't gotten over the novelty of my 5 minutes to wash hair))

Just let me illustrate my point..

Thats my study table.. Observe da shelves (cos i just cleaned my table!! faster clap hands) and da stuff above the shelves. Ok next..

Thats where i put da rest of my stuff cos it cannot fit in any of the other shelves or the 7 drawers or the one humongous wardrobe they provided. See got extra fan summore (and printer and hair dryer and ....)

That's my bed with a bolster, a teddy, two pillows, 2 queen sized mattress protectors, and a comforter.(My bed is extra super comfy cos i not ony have one but TWO mattress protector.. i am spoilt)

And thats my wardrobe of which da pic is sengeted cos i have no idea how to rotate it and save it.. And no my clothes are not just dumped in..its rolled.. sum strategy i have cos i have too many clothes.. err cos err the wardrobe is too small..

Just imagine if someone asked me to move out of my hall immediately..( i have not even shown you the amount of shoes i have!!)WHAT AM I TO DO?? ok some geniuses out there may say move out the way u came in la.. but what you dun know is tat my "stuff" has been multiplying actively since i moved in.. (my parents have been sending over items which i think i cannot live with..muahaha)

So how??Hire a 10 tonne lorry??Abandon the room and just get new stuff??(ngeh ngeh..)Hire 10 super muscular guys to lug it on their sexy shoulders??

okok..this post is getting more and more random..

I shall just declare this as a "i challenge you to answer" question..ahaks.. go think bout it when ur lecturers are boring you to death and you just cannot fall asleep.. or when attending tamadun " " lectures.. or when you are business- ing in da toilet.. Lets see how creative one can get..

ok..calculus is calling for me.fundamentals of comm studies is screaming for me. c ++ is yearning for me..

Me have to go study!!

bite me

This officially marks da last day of my recess (they call it recess but its a bluff.. its STUDY week). Why you ask when its only a Saturday?? Becos shitty enough i have to head back to pulau ntu cum crazyland tomorrow.. and as da journey take a thousand million hundred seconds, my day tomorrow is practically GONE! Grr.. Why can't i own a flying pig???

So what did i do in my sweet home?
1. Got intimate with mr.c++ since midterm is on next SATURDAY(told u recess was a bluff)

2. Visited UKM medical faculty which in turn made me realise that the MEDICAL students there are having more fun than me a mere maths and econs student (injustice.. sky no eyes..tree no ears..table can sing!!)

3.Shopped!! Though in my honest opinion not enough.. Two reasons for that :
a) stupid times square don't have idiotic hsbc atm
b) kevin was having chest pains (ahaks..)

4.Ate..ate ..and ate more.. In fact that part have not officially ended cos i still have one more makaning session tomorrow before i board the bus back to the land of orange maggie goreng and tomato ketchup wan tan mee.

5. Visited school and realised how much i missed school. Not stpm though.. Just da beautiful people who do not cheat during quizzes and love me for me and da life MINUS stpm(aha..)

6. Wth.. i nearly forgot.. I cut my "take an hour to wash" hair to "take 5 minutes to wash" hair!! That is the most exciting part of my deliciously awesome trip home..

I luuurve being home.. no meetings, awesome food, being pampered, shopping without the need to convert, da looooooooong raya hols(we ony get one day in singapore and that have to replace classes summore.. sianzz).I wanna stay home!!(Sab ppl going ipoh wth..I wanna go!!)

This my frens are childish rantings.. As a future economists/mathematician/finance person/money making machine(ultimate ambition ahaha..), I should not be whining like a 2 year old without a pacifier.
Wake me up!
Bite me.

quiz fever(not literally though thank goodness)

OK.. So i have gone through 2 very bloggable events which i should have written about. But these two blogs will only be efficient if i included pics of me n frens camwhoring and wateva random pics i took. But as uploading pics takes some time(though not a thousand million years like in malaysia) and quiz week is still on.. I will cakap bout installation night and my first ever aiesec conference(JUMPSTART!!!!) after all this mind torturing, cell killing, emo inducing, 'bringing out da sakai in me' quizzes are done (for da week anyway). Then its recess week where i can shop all i want and blog till da cow comes home..And den ho, I get to go HOME!!

And for now rite... carmen will go mug till da monkeys in da zoo turn blue..

to bag or not to bag

Installation nite for Rotaract Club NTU is coming!!! As one of the business and finance directors, it was our department's responsibility to source for sponsors for this event.
So after an exhausting 3 weeks of spamming ppl's email with our proposals and also calling strangers begging them to give us free stuff, we finally accumulated enough for us to sau kong(finish work).

Unluckily for us, we did not manage to get goodie bags to store the goodies in. How le??

And so we had to brainstorm.. Our ideas included sticking those items with double sided tape to leaving the items (which consists of 2 magazines, a pen, campbell soup(yes campbell soup),vouchers and da famous new water) on the chair and leave it up to the poor guests to decide how they wanna haul all these items back. As gracious hosts, we decided that we do not wanna burden our guests (actually cos wanna save face dun wanna lose to the other two uni's installation nite) and all those ideas were banned..

I was so worried we may have to wrap those items up in newspaper and rafia strings like how aunties wrap ham yu (dried salted fish) in the market.

Thankfully we all decided that to purchase the bags will be a good investment (again to save face). So I asked one of our subcommers to call one of our sponsors who dealt with stationaries in order to get a cheaper price for da bags( haihz..budget budget)

Long story short.. we managed to convince the sponsor to sell us some recyclable bags at a loss le..eheh It was definitely worth all the haggling n hidden insinuation the sponsor hurled at us for trying to get him to sell us the bags within our budget..( he actually stated that me and my other director dunno costing le..what he din know was that she was a accounting student while i am a maths n econs student..shhh.. i think he had the impression that we were science students..muahaha)

And so we managed to get 100 gorgeous bags for da guests.. better appreciate it people.. u nearly had to get the sponsored items wrapped like ham yu ok.

mmm..mugging mugging..(TEST ON FRIDAY!!)

narrow escape

I nearly had to go to class in my pjs!!

My roomie came back this morning as I was going to brush my teeth and do wateva is needed to do in the toilet. Since I tot that my business in the toilet will not take too long, I did not bring my keys thinking that my roomie can open da door for me.

When i went back to my room I realised da door was LOCKED!! I was locked outside my room with basically nothing except my toothbrush and toothpaste(which cannot be used to open to door or call my roomie..duh)

So wat to do wat to do??? I ran all the way to the bus stop praying that the shuttle bus do not choose today to be extra efficient. As i was running (in my pyjamas i would add) to da bus stop, I saw a shuttle bus pass by. My heart skipped a beat...

THANK GOODNESS IT WAS EMPTY!

Lucky (super lucky) for me my roomie opted to take a different shuttle bus and she was at the bus stop still waiting.(thank you mr shuttle bus driver!!) The look on her face was hilarious when she saw me running towards her. She later told me that she was wondering who was the mad woman running in her pyjamas waving at her until she realised it was me. (thanks siew lee)

So anyway anyhow, my beautiful cute and super efficient roomie (this is for opening the door for me) and mr shuttle bus driver B saved my day.SO HAPPY i dun have to go for class in my pyjamas.

Lessons learned:
1.Always bring keys out no matter wat
2.Always eat the vitamins people give you as they can prevent night long coughing that can cost
u to be super blurr the morning after
3. Must treat ur roomie good as she can be ur saviour(many many times in my case)
4. Always make sure that you wear nice pyjamas to bed as you may have to wear it to class the
next day

sick of being sick

For some weird reason, I get sick A LOT here in Singapore. Tak tau why le.

I wonder is it because

  1. there is sumthing wrong with my lymphatic system in producing antibodies

  2. or my antibodies went for a vacation

  3. or my antibodies went for war

  4. or my antibodies just went shopping (which is the most probable one since they are MY antibodies)

I despise being sick!! Sore throat twice a month, fever, cough.. a plethora of methods that my body has designed to torture me.

My beloved parents, afraid that I will die in Singapore due to the fact that they think I dunno how to take care of myself have supplied me with VITAMINS. And as i keep on updating them of my many "fortunate' visits from the various sicknesses, they keep on sending me MORE VITAMINS which i am forever forgetting to eat.

This my frens is wat i am supposed to swallow every morning to stop my inner system from raging..

Imagine gulping all of that at one time. In fact dun imagine, try it.Ahaks.. U'll have an interesting experience. But come to think of it, I am getting rather good at it. You can award me the best vitamin swallower award!! I bet the younger kids will aspire to be me one day!(stop rambling carmen)

Hmm.. I just thought of another reason why I am sick so often here. I think cos i lack the company of doctors to be here. I wish all my doctor to be frens are here. Then they can prescribe me with

:P

Just my very random way to say i miss all of u(non doctors to be included) in Malaysia!

wat u can do with 36 dollars

wat one can do with 36 dollars(sing dollar ho)? A LOT!!! As a poor Malaysian studying in 2.4 ringgit to a dollar land, I can't help converting whenever i spend. This has severely stumped my most loved favourite sport..SHOPPING!!(ok my closer friends here may beg to disgress but seriously compared to how i shop in KL this is super mild)

anyways, wat can one actually do with 36 dollars?
1. You can buy a ticket back to KL from Singapore(super VIP summore)
2. You can get 2 really nice tops from Bugis
3. You can go for Jogoya buffet in Starhill
4. I can pay my one month Singtel bill with extra in hand
5. That can sustain me for a week and a half in food in NTU
6.I can donate it to save the world

Too bad I lack the luxury to do all that. Mmm.. goodbye 36 sing dollars cum 86 ringgit. I am gonna miss you but i guess i have to do wat i need to do no matter how much i am missing my 36 dollars. GRRRR...36 dollars for dim sum. i hope the dim sum came in plates of gold.sulk sulk sulk

so i shall stop bitching bout money and go mug(while sulking)

choosing to be a blogger over being a mugger

And so i decided to try my hands at blogging. At a super not right time i might add as my foundation of maths quiz is next week(HORRORS and foundation is not the synonym of easy mind you). But hands started to itch when i was reading some other blogs. Wonder how long I can sustain this blog with my super many activities plus crazy course. We'll see.. Besides I think its time for me to tell people of my life in Singapore as Kevin said that I don't talk bout it enough. So voila.. my first post
